Washing and drying: what is the difference?
- Washing: an approximately five-minute automatic programme for up to seven compatible brushes.
- Drying: a separate two-hour or five-hour unheated fan-air cycle after washing and blotting away excess water.
The five-minute wash time does not include drying. Brush size, bristle density and retained water affect how long a brush takes to dry. Check that the bristles are dry before use or storage.
Before you begin
Check your brush manufacturer's care instructions and make sure each handle fits the holder securely. Do not force handles into the holder or crowd the bristles. If you are unsure whether a brush will fit, contact Einkera with its handle measurements before ordering.
Have clean, lukewarm water, a small amount of gentle brush-safe cleanser and a suitable USB power source ready. The cleaner has no internal battery and needs to remain connected while operating.
How to wash your makeup brushes
- Fill the removable tank with clean, lukewarm water to the MAX line and add a small amount of gentle, brush-safe cleanser.
- Insert compatible brush handles securely, leaving room for the bristles.
- Connect the supplied USB cable to a suitable 5 V / 1 A power source.
- Run the approximately five-minute wash programme, following the supplied operating instructions.
How to use the drying cycle
After washing, gently blot excess water from the bristles with a clean tissue before placing the brushes in the dryer. Removing excess moisture can help them dry faster. Select the two-hour or five-hour unheated fan-air drying mode. Washing and drying are separate stages; allow enough time for both before you next need your brushes.

The package includes the Smart Makeup Brush Cleaner & Dryer, a seven-position flexible brush holder and a USB power cable. A USB wall adapter is not included.
